June 2nd, Eventi Hotel in New York, NY with the American Idol Top 10 meeting the press for the launch celebration of M&Ms Pretzel.
The M&M Idol concert in Herald Square earlier left crowds and web viewers disappointed when the idols ended up performing only three songs instead of one song for each and some group numbers. Katie Stevens and Andrew Garcia tweeted to fans that the show was cut short for security reasons.
Very strange excuse from the M&M people; a well advertised promotion with such current guests as the idols- of course the show is going to be mobbed! What they expected 100 people and instead 10,000 people showed up so they were unprepared? Just saying…

David Archuleta was in Borders – Manhattan, NY (Columbus Circle), June 2nd for the release/booksigning of his autobiographical book entitled “Chords of Strength” (Celebra) that talks about his idol experience and overcoming vocal cord paralysis when he was 12 that almost ended his dreams of becoming a singer.
Guess who showed up?!! Some of the American idol 9 Top 10 including Siobhan Magnus, Andrew Garcia, Aaron Kelly, Tim Urban, Casey James and Didi Benami!!

Watch the show here… Wow That was fast!! The facebook’s M&M page is buzzing with angry, well disappointed fans hoping they would get a full hour concert from the American Idols: Lee Dewyze, Crystal Bowersox, Casey James, Michael Lynche, Aaron Kelly, Siobhan Magnus, Tim Urban, Katie Stevens, Andrew Garcia and Didi Benami.
Turns out, M&M went through all the trouble to set up this humongous M&M stage, give away thousands of free M&Ms in the middle of Times Square Herald Square and have the idols come out to perform THREE SONGS!! That was it. They come out around 12.30 and the show was over not even at 1pm. Whew!
Lee DeWyze and Crystal Bowersox reprised “Falling Slowly”. After some technical issues, Casey James and Michael Lynch came out to sing “Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman.” Finally, Lee sang “The Boxer” with the rest of the Idols jamming with him on stage towards the end. This looks like a dry run for the Summer tour happening in July to September. We’re almost positive all three songs will be included in the tour.

This is the last performance of the very short concert. They did 3 songs total. Lee DeWyze, “The Boxer” with the Top 10 singing “lai,la, lai” That’s it!!

Photos of the idols in the Big Apple [from Twitter] are starting to come in. Michael Lynche, Andrew Garcia, Didi Benami, Katie Stevens, Siobhan Magnus, Casey James, Tim Urban and Aaron Kelly head to the M&M Store in Manhattan, New York to spread their awesomeness! Lee DeWyze and Crystal Bowersox are missing- they have other commitments. Hope the fans who were there share more photos!
