8/1 American Idol Live Tour coverage at the Arena at Gwinnett Center in Duluth, GA (PHOTOS)

Fresh from the Lexington stop in Kentucky last night, the idols head to the Arena at Gwinnett Center in Duluth, ready to play before the people of Georgia tonight!

Initial reports from Access Atlanta on American Idol Buzz by Rodney Ho:

“Oddly, I actually enjoyed the first half of the concert more than the second.

A guard earlier today said they sold about 6,000 tickets, half of full capacity. I’m not sure if the 6,000 excludes freebies and such because it looked more like 8,000 to me but what do I know? At least there didn’t appear to be more than 2,000 empty seats or so in the back. It’s not an embarrassing turnout by any means but sparse compared to past seasons, most of which have sold out here.”
