It's official: Kara DioGuardi Steps Down as judge on American Idol

While we are not surprised by this news because the rumors have been around for weeks, we at the fansite are sad of this turnout.

We have never understood why some people dislike her and think Randy Jackson whose **judging acuity is limited to “For me
For you, dawg- it’s awright!!”
can judge better!! Kara may not always have the right words to say when judging contestants BUT she has the eye for true talent!!

She is a singer songwriter, producer, publisher and certified hitmaker!! She knows the ins and out of the music industry because she is an artist herself, she writes music for others as well as discovers other artists being executive vice president of talent development at Warner Bros. Records. She signed Jason Reeves, Jason Derulo and Iyaz!! It is a loss for American Idol. We are not happy. 🙁– Kara DioGuardi is stepping down from her role as a judge on American Idol. DioGuardi joined American Idol as a judge in the series’ eighth season.

“I felt like I won the lottery when I joined American Idol two years ago, but I feel like now is the best time to leave Idol,” said DioGuardi. “I am very proud to have been associated with American Idol – it has truly been an amazing experience. I am grateful to FOX, FremantleMedia and 19 Entertainment, as well as the cast, crew and contestants, for all they have given to me. I look forward to my next challenge, and want to thank everyone who has supported me. All the best to everyone on Season 10!”

“Kara was a great addition to our Idol family,” said Mike Darnell, President of Alternative Entertainment, Fox Broadcasting Company. “I’ve been fortunate to get to know her well, and have always been amazed by her eye for talent and her commitment to developing and mentoring artists. She will be missed, and we wish her continued success.”

“Kara is one of the world’s best songwriters,” stated Idol creator and executive producer Simon Fuller. “She has been passionate and committed to Idol over the last two seasons. I will miss having her on the show, but I look forward to working with her in music for many years to come.”

“As one of the most proclaimed songwriters in the U.S., Kara brought a wealth of experience and a unique perspective to American Idol,” said Cecile Frot-Coutaz, Idol executive producer. “We are very grateful for the time she spent on the show, and we wish her nothing but the best in all her future endeavors.”

“Anyone who knows Kara knows that she brings an unbelievable amount of passion, creativity and humility to everything she does,” added Idol executive producer Ken Warwick. “It has been a joy working with her on Idol for the past two seasons, and I’m looking forward to seeing what she does next.”

Our Case in point:

And mind you, this article was written in 2006 and he is still saying the same things in 2010, 5 seasons later!

Randy Jackson’s Poetry in Season 5

But how did you really feel about Chris Daughtry?

Yo, yo.
Yo, yo.
Amazing, amazing.
Loved the jacket.
Loved you.

This is how you start a positive review of Elliott Yamin?
Yo, baby, Elliott
So check it out, dawg
So check it out, man
I hated
Check it out
Did not like the arrangement

Mixed messages for Paris Bennett
I thought it was pretty good
I mean, I’m not saying I was blown away
But I liked it
I wasn’t over-the-top about it
But I liked it

Confusion and Taylor Hicks
Yo, Taylor, man
I don’t know what’s goin’ on, man
I don’t know if it’s me tonight or whatever
But dude, that was completely the wrong song
For me
For you
I didn’t get it
It wasn’t half as good as the original
It felt like weird karaoke to me
I don’t know what’s happenin’ here
I don’t know what’s goin’ on here
