The fifth round of audition brings us to the lonestar state of Texas where the first idol, the great Kelly Clarkson was discovered! It was interesting they didn’t say how many went thru- we gather not many!
They gave two tone deaf guys their time of day and showed a bunch of clips featuring off key and downright bad auditions. Still, we can name at least two people who are Top 24- even Top 12 material- Baylie Brown and Skylar Laine!
Baylie won this round for us. She auditioned in season 6, but was cut in the group round. What 5 years can do!! She was fabulous at 16, impressed then judges Simon & Paula, Randy on her audition, and this time at 21- all grown up and stronger just made a very impressive audition in front of Steven, J.Lo and Randy. She’s a star all the way!
